This detached house is on two levels and has on the first floor an entrance area, a large hallway, two large bedrooms, a level terrace, a kitchen, a bathroom and, last but not least, the large living room with barrel vault painted with the dry technique of the master painter Raffaele Scalia who was commissioned the work by the ancestors of the current owner in the period in which the same painter painted works in the nearby church of San Sebastiano between the end of the 19th century and the early 1900s shortly before moving to New York in 1902 to paint at the Metropolitan Theater and where still other famous works of his are found. On the second floor, which is accessed via a stone staircase, we find a large bedroom with adjoining large room and another level terrace. The pictorial work of the master Scalia inside this apartment of the second half of the nineteenth century depicts, in the center, the goddess of the hunt Diana for the Romans and Artemis for the Greeks and on the four sides the graphic representation of the four seasons: a work of absolute value that deserves to be restored. This house is located not far from one of the most famous rock necropolises in Europe included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
